Turkey Ranks Third in World Apple Production
Turkey is one of the world's leading countries in apple production. According to Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry data, apple production reached 4.4 million tons in 2024; Turkey ranks third in the world in the 2024/25 season.
Our country's self-sufficiency rate has exceeded 150%, and it also has a significant share in apple exports. Intensive production is carried out in many provinces, especially Isparta and Niğde.
The Thrace region has attracted attention in recent years with modern dwarf fruit growing investments. Integrated producers such as Karfrut set an example for the sector by demonstrating that intensive agriculture is possible in the region.
