Scarlet Spur

A summer variety of New Zealand origin. It is the only summer apple variety whose quality is gradually being accepted worldwide. One reason for this is that some clones produce much more colorful fruit.

Of US origin. It has a weak, spreading tree.
The fruit is medium-large, sweet and juicy. The flesh is creamy white.

Developed as a result of French-American crossbreeding.

The tree has weak to medium vigor, grows semi-upright to spreading, and bears heavily every year.
